Accessible Learning

What if some of the best teachers in the world were fully accessible to the world?

I mean fully accessible, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Wouldn’t that be something?

The answer is yes, yes it would, and it’s the vision behind a new web based school called Academic Earth.  The idea behind academic earth is surprisingly simple.  Video tape top professors in their field in the classroom and host the content online for all to view.  Any University course, viewed anywhere in the world.

Although this site is in its early stages, and the video and sound quality aren’t quite there yet, the idea is absolutely stellar.  I know I’m going to be watching this site like a hawk to see if it becomes what I believe could be the smartest site on the internet.

One comment for “Accessible Learning”

  1. I searched the site for “religion” and found one presentation on “Introduction to the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible),” and
interestingly, on on religion in France after the Revolution.

I’d be interested in learning more about the Qumran community.
